Over the last year the number of people in the Community Housing Crisis has increased by 6.5% in Victoria. This is due to increased rents, mortgage defualts due to interest rates and casual workers loosing shifts due to a softening economic conditions

There is a solution - a rapid solution where unoccupied investment properties are converted to community housing in exchange for a 100% franked tax credit

We're not asking you work out the changes to the tax code to make this happen, or work out how the scheme goes from concept to operations.

We're asking for two things 

  1. Sign the petition so we can let the Prime Minister, relivant state and federal ministers and you local member know it's a future worth exploring
  2. Register your investment property at the front of the cue for invited particioants in the schemd when the legislation is enacted.

Urge the Prime Minister and relivant minsters to explore and enact the changes to convert investment properties to 100% franked tax credits via the BETTER FUTURE Housing Foundation.

This transforming legislation will create unprecedent community housing inventory to benefit all people experincing homelessness, sleeping rough or families at risk of homelessness.

In addiiton to boosting community housing inventory and effectivly solving homelessness it ensure new build are goign into the proprty market to accelerate  changein the proprty market crisis.

It leverages the embedded carbon in exisitng builds, gets locked up capital moving and provides an immediate solution for those in need.

The petition collective voice will be forwarded to those in governemt searching for a rapid solution.
